Colombia U-20 forward Valerin Loboa expressed her delight after scoring a dramatic 92nd-minute winner against Nigeria’s Falconets at the 2026 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday.
The decisive strike broke the deadlock after a resilient defensive display by Nigeria, who had been reduced to 10 players following Kafayat Mafisere’s red card in the 77th minute.

Despite being a player down, Nigeria continued to push forward and created further opportunities late in the game. Akekoromowei had an attempt in the seventh minute of added time, but Nigeria could not find an equaliser before the final whistle.
Speaking to FIFA.com after the match, Loboa emphasized team unity over personal glory:
“These matches are all about details, and we had constant faith that the goal would come.
