UCL: Inter Milan Must Be Focused Against Atletico Madrid –Inzaghi

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has insisted that his team is well focused ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

Recall that the first leg ended 1-0 in favour of Inter Milan.

However, Inter Milan have a slight edge over Atletico Madrid on the European stage and have won two out of the last three matches played between the two teams, as opposed to Atletico Madrid’s one victory.

Speaking with TribalFootball, Inzaghi stated that he’s focused and confident of victory against Atletico Madrid.

“The result of the first leg certainly gives us a small advantage but we won’t speculate or manage. We will try to play our game knowing that we will find a very strong opponent who will transform at home. The path in La Liga shows what a team Atletico is here.

“We know what our path has been in these three years. We have always reached the round of 16, which is not a given in the last 10 years of Inter’s history. We know that we have this match against a very strong opponent and we know that we played a good match in the first leg but that tomorrow evening we will need something more.

“The team knows that we will have to be super focused knowing what we will find. Atletico is very, very strong here and we have prepared as best we can in these two and a half days.”
