Victor Osimhen was in action as Napoli lost 2-0 to Liverpool in their UEFA Champions League clash at Anfield on Tuesday night.
It was the first defeat for Napoli in 18 games across all competitions this season.
Osimhen scored in four consecutive games since returning from injury but was caged by the Liverpool defence.
The 23-year-old was replaced by Giovanni Simeone in the 87th minute.

He has scored once in the Champions League this season.
In another game in the group, Calvin Bassey featured for 90 minutes as Ajax defeated his former club Glasgow Rangers 3-1 at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Bassey featured in all of Ajax’s six group games.
At the Doosan Arena, Fortune Bassey was a second half substitute in Viktoria Plzen’s 4-2 home defeat to Barcelona.
Bassey replaced Tomas Chory in the 63rd minute.

In the 79th minute Konate was guarding him. And what did Osimhen do? Like always he tried a long range shot which turned the ball over when he saw the defense coming.
Going against a premier league team would’ve been a good trial to see if he can play in the premier league. But Osimhen got shut down this game. The whole team had 2 shots on target out of 10. Osimhen is at his best when he is not injured, but the amount of fouls he was getting it looked like he would’ve been out.
