UCL: Osimhen Had Little Or No Effect Against Barca –Sacchi

Former Italy head coach, Arigo Sacchi has slammed Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen for his poor performance in Napoli’s loss to Barca in the Champions League.

Recall that Napoli lost 3-1 against Barcelona on Tuesday night, resulting in their Champions League elimination in the Round of 16.

The Nigeria international managed just one shot on target for the entire duration of the game

However, Sacchi in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, stated that Osimhen’s contributions was less effective against Barca.

“What surprised me the most was the little involvement of Kvara and Osimhen, the two most awaited players,” Sacchi wrote in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s true that they didn’t get much service, but at the same time, they didn’t move much and they did it in the wrong way, so it was easy for opponents to stop them.”
