UCL: Without Araujo’s Red Card We’d Still Have Beaten Barcelona –PSG Coach, Enrique Brags

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has boasted that without Ronald Araujo’s sending off, his side would still have beaten Barcelona.

The French giants thumped Barcelona 4-1 in the quarter-final second leg to go through 6-4 on aggregate.

Raphinha had given Barcelona the lead but everything went South for the Spanish side as Araujo was shown a straight red card for fouling Bradley Bracola who was through on goal.

PSG took advantage of the sending off and equalised thanks to former Barca forward Ousmane Dembele.

Vitinha then put the Parisiens 2-1 up before Kylian Mbappe added two more goals to wrap things up.

Speaking after the win, Enrique bragged:”Even without Araujo’s red card, we would have won, but I can’t prove it.”

Barcelona coach Xavi and his goalkeeper trainer were also sent off by the referee.

PSG will now take on Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.

The 1997 Champions League winners overturned a 2-1 first leg deficit against Atletico Madrid to win 4-2.
