A new fight in the Real Madrid dressing room has reportedly taken place between one of the club’s captains Federico Valverde and key midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Valverde and Tchouameni had a training-ground altercation which led to the two midfielders almost coming to blows.
According to Marca (SportsMole) the situation has now escalated, with the pair clashing again on Thursday, with the fight leading to Valverde requiring hospital treatment.
The incident, described as ‘very serious’ by the publication, is said to have prompted an emergency meeting, with the club considering taking disciplinary action.
Valverde is alleged to have refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand on Thursday morning, and the resulting incident, which occurred following a ‘hostile’ training session, led to the Uruguay international suffering a heavy cut to his head and needing a hospital visit.

The atmosphere at Real Madrid has been described as ‘very tense’, with the club currently preparing to take on Barcelona in La Liga on Sunday night.
Real Madrid are 11 points behind leaders Barcelona in the La Liga table with only four games left, meaning that they need to win El Clasico to keep their slim title hopes alive.
Los Blancos have been in the headlines for the wrong reasons of late, with Kylian Mbappe’s relationship with his teammates believed to be fractured.
Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Carreras were allegedly recently involved in a bust-up which led to the former ‘slapping’ his fellow Real Madrid defender.
Dani Ceballos’ relationship with current head coach Alvaro Arbeloa is also believed to be non-existent, and the latest incident surrounding Valverde and Tchouameni has put the club in full-blown crisis mode.
Real Madrid head coach Arbeloa is expected to be asked about the situation when he speaks to the media ahead of Sunday’s La Liga clash with Barcelona.
As it stands, Valverde and Tchouameni are both available for El Clasico, but any internal disciplinary matters could lead to a club suspension.
Real Madrid are also waiting to learn whether Mbappe will recover from a hamstring injury in time to be available for the contest with Hansi Flick’s side at Camp Nou.
