Frank Lampard believes Donny van de Beek is enjoying new life at Everton.
Recall that the Manchester United midfielder joined Everton on a short-term loan last month.
Lampard has started van de Beek in Everton’s last three Premier League games, and he has hailed the Dutchman’s quality ahead of the FA Cup fifth-round clash with Boreham Wood.
Asked about van de Beek’s substitution against Manchester City last weekend, Lampard said: “We’re hoping it’s cramp. It doesn’t look too bad.
“If it is cramp, it’s no wonder, because he hadn’t been playing too regularly and it was a big physical output game for a midfield player.
“He played very well again. He is loving being here, you can sense that. He’s loving his teammates and they’ve really taken to him.
“He is a really intelligent player and works hard – the fans love him for that – so let’s hope he’s alright.”

Technically, van de Beek is about the best midfielder Europe. A good player, even when he was in ManU he was on a different wavelength to most of his teammates.
