Egypt head coach Mohamed Kamal has acknowledged the daunting task awaiting his side against Nigeria’s Super Falcons ahead of their final Group C clash at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday night.
The Cleopatras have endured a disappointing campaign, suffering a crushing 6-0 defeat to Zambia in their opening fixture before falling 3-1 to Malawi in their second outing.
Egypt must secure a convincing victory over the nine-time champions, and hope other results go their way to keep their slim quarter-final hopes alive.
Kamal Have Huge Respect For Nigeria
Kamal was full of praise for the Super Falcons, describing them as one of the tournament’s strongest teams.

He believes Nigeria’s superior quality and vast experience at this level will be decisive in the encounter.
“Nigeria is a huge African football nation. The majority of their players play in the best clubs in the world. This level of experience makes all the difference,” Kamal was quoted by CAFonline.
Egypt Making Progress
Despite Egypt’s disappointing campaign, Kamal insists his team has made significant progress and believes their performances do not fully reflect the strides they have taken.
“We have our own playing identity. We want to build from the back, keep the ball and continue to play our football. Experience will come from facing the best African teams,” he added
