Super Falcons veteran defender Osinachi Ohale she and her teammates know what is at stake in today’s crucial WAFCON 2016 Group C clash with Egypt.
The Super Falcons got their campaign back on track after a hardfought 1-0 win against Zambia in their second group fixture.
Asisat Oshoala’s first half strike was enough to secure the three points for the reigning African champions, who played most of the match with 10 players after Tosin Demehin was sent off.
Now the Super Falcons are in another must win clash as they take on Egypt and must hope the result between Zambia and Malawi favours them.
Speaking in Tuesday’s pre-match presser Ohale said:”The game against Egypt is even more important than the first and second game we’ve played. We already know what is at stake, we know the importance of the game and we will take it with all seriousness and do better than our last game.”
The Super Falcons have never failed to go beyond the group stage in the history of the WAFCON.
