WAFU B U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles To Face Burkina Faso In Final

Defending champions Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will take on Burkina Faso in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship, Completesports.com reports.

The showdown will be a rematch of their Group B meeting, where the Young Stallions secured a 2-0 victory over the Flying Eagles.

Nigeria booked their place in the final after defeating hosts Côte d’Ivoire 4-2 on penalties following a thrilling 2-2 draw after extra time.

Burkina Faso, meanwhile, advanced with a 2-0 extra-time win over Niger Republic in the other semi-final.

The champions will qualify for the 2027 Africa U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Abdu Maikaba’s side are aiming to win the regional title for a third consecutive time, having lifted the trophy in the last two editions.
