Warriors Boss Free To Move On

Worcester Warriors say head coach Rory Duncan isn’t part of their plans going forward and is free to speak with other clubs. Duncan joined Worcester in May 2018 and led them to a 10th-place finish in the Gallagher Premiership last season. He guided the club to a club-record nine victories from 22 outings but Worcester want to move in a different direction.

The South African is understood to be on a four-man shortlist for the vacancy at Southern Kings and is now free to hold talks. Worcester said in a statement: “The club has put in place a strategic plan for the future of Warriors. We do not envisage Rory Duncan being part of those plans. “Therefore we’ve given Rory permission to seek opportunities elsewhere.”
