Anthony Watson will make his first appearance in over a year after being named at fullback for Bath against Sale on Friday. The British & Irish Lions utility star has not played since suffering an Achilles injury in the 2018 Six Nations and has been forced to endure a long road to recovery.

Watson, who was expected to be back at the start of this campaign but re-tore his Achilles in pre-season, comes in to replace Tom Homer to face the Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium. England head coach Eddie Jones will be hoping the player impresses before the end of the season, with the World Cup in Japan edging ever closer.
