‘We Have To Perform’– Dessers Insists Super Eagles Must Beat Sierra Leone

The Super Eagles will begin their quest for a place in Cote d’Ivoire 2023 when they entertain the Leone Stars at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday.

The West Africans were held to a 4-4 draw the last time both teams met in November 2020 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The Eagles were eliminated in the Round of 16 at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The team also failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.

After beginning the new era under Portuguese trainer Jose Peseiro with two defeats against Mexico and Ecuador, Dessers Insists they have no choice than to beat the Leone Stars.

“We have to perform, do the business even behind closed doors,” Dessers declared.

“It would have been great with the fans at the stadium, but that will not be possible for this game.”

I trust you Dessers. Please tell the entire team, let them know the importance of playing for the national team.

For me, Dennis is not the kind of player we needed in the Super Eagles. He always behave as if he’s doing us a favor.

The level of seriousness in the Super Eagles is not good enough. Majority of the Super Eagles players are not ready to play their hearts on the pitch.

We saw the level of commitment, passion and never say die Ghanaians spirit against Nigeria in Abuja.

We are tired of wotowoto/kerewa kerewawa
and uninspiring styles in the Super Eagles.

Also, Musa, Shehu, Moffi, Bonke, Dennis and Ighalo should make way for other new comers such as Nwobodo, Azubuike Okechukwu, Micheal and so on.

This is the new era. No room for errors. We can’t keep recycling players in the Super Eagles when we have talented players available to represent us. We have to get it right.

We love you so much Dessers and I wish you and other players the best against Sierra Leone. God bless Nigeria!!!
