Legendary Italian coach Fabio Capello has written off the current AC Milan squad, saying it is difficult to have faith in them
Milan lost 3-1 to Liverpool at the San Siro in their first game of the revamped UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Christian Pulisic gave the Serie A giant an early lead but goals from Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai turned the game around for the Reds.
The defeat leaves Milan in 33rd position while Liverpool are third in the 36-team league standing.
“Milan was asphalted tonight (Tuesday), a squad that couldn’t react, incapable of making three passes in a row,” Capello told Sky Sports. “Like this you don’t go anyway, there are no leaders on the pitch.
“Abraham was the only one to shake things up. Their best player (Leao) touched the ball for the first time at the 20th minute, you can’t have much faith in this Milan team.”
