Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane admits he is a big fan of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and would love to have him at the Bernabeu.
Pogba is now in the third season of his second spell at Old Trafford and, free from the Jose Mourinho shackles, he has finally started to show his true colours with a series of superb displays in midfield.
After appearing disinterested earlier in the season, the France international is exhibiting the form he showed for Les Bleus at the 2018 World Cup, prompting interest from some of Europe’s heavyweights.
Zidane acknowledges that he is well entrenched at the Theatre of Dreams but would jump at the chance to sign him if he became available. “I like him a lot, that is nothing new,” he said. “I know him personally.

He is a truly different player. Few players can do what he can. He is a midfielder who can defend, attack, do everything. “But he is not my player, he is at Manchester. He has always said that after Manchester, Madrid has always interested him. So when his experience at Manchester ends, why not come here to Madrid?”
