Only in Nigeria does the sports media attempt to correlate the performance of players, their place of birth with the nationality of the manager as a metric. in the period between 1975 and 1985 Nigeria fielded quite a number of players born in Ghana and Complete Sports was silent, didn’t bore us with demographics. Besides, it was Stephen Keshi and Sunday Oliseh who brought in Balogun, Troost-Ekong and Ikeme. Rohr met them and a practice encouraged by the NFF
