Now this is becoming too scary!
Some of this African nations sef… So they had all the time leading to the games and couldn’t screen players and officials themselves?
Is the cost of vaccines so prohibitive that African FAs can’t afford them for their players and crew? What do the team doctors do? Did they miss the ‘Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion’ modules at school?
Africa will ALWAYS be Africa!
Conclusively I am of the opinion that this year’s tournament should be cancelled as a result of the surge in the cases of Corona virus..it is really taking the shine out of the tournament and team strength are being weakened.
All these sudden outbreaks on the eve of the tournament smirks off poor disaster risk management plans
Its like its still news to African FAs and Cameroonian Authorities that COVID is in the air. A typical case of when your enemy is planning to roast you and then you now bath with gasoline.
Just like KangA said up there, some people obviously missed ‘Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion’ modules at school, while some administrators missed “Risk assessment” modules during their “Occupational and workplace health and safety” trainings.
With the way every jack and harry was hugging our own SE players at Abuja airport when they were to depart Nigeria, I just home and pray the camp is safe.
The worse thing that would happen to this AFCON is for teams to be unable to field their strongest squads due to COVID.
And when they place us on Red lists we start fuming senselessly.
