Premier League legend Tony Adams has tipped Manchester City to win the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal.
Recall that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side sits top of the Premier League table ahead of the resumption of actions after the FIFA international break.
Arsenal is eight points ahead of champions, Manchester City with ten matches to the end of the season and despite this, Adams, a former Arsenal star, believes Manchester City will lift the trophy this season.
Adams said Arsenal have not won a Premier League title in 19 years, adding that the pressure that comes with the anticipation is insurmountable.
“If Manchester City were eight points clear with ten games to go, there would not even be a question about the title race already being over. But because it’s Arsenal in that position, I still don’t think they’re favourites to be champions,” Adams told The Sun.
Adams said that Arsenal will have to suffer to win the league, adding that every game for the next two months is going to feel like a cup final.
He said that City has more squads than the Gunners and could decide to play different teams in different competitions since they have many talents at their disposal.
“They’ve won the title before and because they’re coming from behind they will be able to play with much more freedom than Arsenal.”Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
