Nigeria defender, Kenneth Omeruo is expecting a difficult contest against Guinea-Bissau, reports Completeaports.com.
The Super Eagles will look to secure a place in the Round of 16 when they take on the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Monday.
Guinea-Bissau are bottom of Group A with zero point from two games.
Despite Baciro Cande’s side poor performance in the competition, Omeruo has emphasized the need for the Super Eagles not to underrate their opponent.

“It’s going to be an interesting game. We know Guinea-Bissau very well having face them in the qualifiers,” Omeruo told a press conference in Abidjan.
“It’s not going to be an easy game. A lot of people have predicted that we are going to beat them easily but we are not thinking that way.
“We are going to approach the game with seriousness. Like the coach said, we have to keep taking it one game at a time.
“We must not go into game thinking that we are going to beat them. That will not help us at all.”

Peseiro underated African football teams initially…..forgetting about defending first before attacking….he would not have been exposed if not our strikers profligacy in front of goalposts…..putting 2 defensive mildfiers will solve his problems….I think his change In tactics is through the effort of his back room staffs.
The same thing happened inn1990. Westerhof came all out against Algeria in the first match but got the bashing if his life. He changed tactics in the second match and got to the final. I doubt if pesero will change his tactics in tomorrow match. The man don learn his lessons.
In 1990 some of our foreign based players failed to show up. We had many new players in that team like anokachi. This year our strikers are not scoring goals (I hope they start doing so ) . The coach should prioritize victory over entertainment. This is Nigeria we don’t have anything to prove to anybody that we can play football.
It’s about choosing the right tactics based on the situation at hands and maybe the team you are playing.
Morocco did not play the best football at the last world cup but got to the final.
This should be the way forward now with our strikers missing the easiest of chances….we should prevent opposing team scoring against us,,,,
Very true, Christian Ministries.
A good defense will keep you in the tournament. The only way to beat a team you can’t score against is via penalties. And when it comes to penalties, it could go either way.
If Sao Tome manage to hold Argentina to a goalless draw, and it gets to penalties, Sao Tome have a chance!
That’s what a good defense can do for you.
Morocco didn’t get to the final.
It will be difficult like Omeruo said, Nigeria will win. The team is getting stronger.
That’s for Omerua. Me, I predict 3 nill.
If we qualify tomorrow our team is the least in terms of performance. Am really impressed by the quality and energy of teams in this tournament. All the teams have very good world class keepers. Now eagles know to beat any team in this tournament you have to play with power and be ruthless in front of goals. So Osimein please justify your APOTY .unknown players are scoring beautiful goals. If you are not ready to die on the pitch eagles will be beaten tomorrow. Skills and tactics no really matter for Africa, Morocco was nearly disgraced by COD. Ivory coast too play big man skillful football. In world cup you can play any hiw and still reach last 8 but here in the hot sun ofAfrica you have to put your life on line to come out clean
We need to calm down on Osimhen, so I just got to understand that he has screws 9n his face. It made me understand why he does not jump anyhow like before. He said the last game versus cagliari the keeper hit him on the face and blood was coming out of that area he got injured on. I beg even me that was criticizing him when I head that had to relax. Please o make them no go kill him at his young age.
Thank you
I remember during the korea/japan w/c 2002 against Sweden taribo west played with blood flowing bandage on his head with all tenacity, patriotism and energy.. so You guys should Stop making excuses for these boys please..
So make hin die untop naija I just know say u dull
LMAO..dull like your mama clintoris..lol..will he be the first to die untop naija? Their okwaraji, na you help them die for naija.. osimhen form don drop and truth is there is this pressure as africa’s best to deliver..the earlier una know this the better instead of all this lame excuses
@Kenny Osimhen Scored a lot of headed Goals last season after his Injury as his injury was the season before last. and point off correction he has 18 Screws in his face not 9. Dont make excuses for him like that. Osimhen will come good very good in this tournament. I hope it has taught him a lesson that you have never fully arrived in football until you retire as there is always someone waiting to take your crown from you. Osimhen when he joined Napoli and was still hungry for success you will see him Training and still pushing during off season quite the contrary to the OSimhen Today. Now on his Off season he is club hopping with Poco Lee Obi Cubana PSquare and Co. I hope he realises that if he carry on like that His form will just keep dropping and Players like Victor Boniface and Mohammed Kudus will come and take his crown although I won’t mind if it is the former because Naija No dey carry last.
P.s. Osimhen sit up that is my advise to you, don’t let go of that hunger yyou had that took you to the top
Footballers should Really Follow in CR7 the Goat footsteps and other Professional Footballers (i.e. Vini Jr and co) Keep training hard in your offday son’t just party when you have a successful season because in football you really only as good as your Last game
