Atletico Madrid midfielder Thiago Almada has described the club as one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The Argentina international joined Atletico this week from Botafogo and has signed a deal to 2030.
In a chat with Atletico’s media channels, Almada stated that it’s a dream come true to don the club’s jersey.

“I’m very happy, very happy. Coming to Atlético was one of my dreams, I’ve been dreaming about it for a long time, and thank God I’m here. So much commitment, so much work, so very happy. We all know what Atlético is, one of the biggest clubs in the world, there’s nothing else to add.”
On what people can expect from him, he continued: “Friendly, charismatic, and on the pitch I’ll give everything for my teammates and give my heart to Atleti.
“Aside from the club’s history, I have a great relationship with Angel Correa. When I was younger, he always gave me shirts. I watched every game and always wanted them to win. I started to grow very attached to the club and dreamed of playing here.”
