Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo says Sunday’s goal against Dundee United in the Scottish League is a result of extra hard work.
Aribo, who played the entire 90 minutes in the team’s 4-1 win, stated that he desired to finish the season on a high note for his team.
The 24-year-old took control of the midfield with his well-tailored passes and hunger for goals.
His effort was rewarded with a superb finish in the 48th minutes and hope to maintain the form.
“I probably haven’t hit a shot with as much power,” Aribo told Rangers TV after the game.
“Everyone in training says I just like to finesse and curl it but I’ve been practicing so I just thought I would put my laces through it and thankfully it went in.
“The boys are buzzing, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game. We had to start fast and give all we could in the game to get a foothold and just keep going throughout the whole 90 minutes.
“I just want to finish the season strong, keep pushing, keep going and giving all that I can and I am happy that I’m getting positive results.”

Iwobi is already a world class player. His shots are high quality.
We are so fortunate to have a player like aribo in our team. Me thinks the coach of the Super Eagles should play him further forward in the team and not as a deep lying mf. He is like a box to box midfielder, and he likes to get into the box a lot. The coach should take advantage of this and allow him move into the opponents area more often so he can get goals like he did against brazil and shevchenko’s team.
