Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Chelsea Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Gunners are yet to officially complete a signing in the summer transfer window, but they do appear to be working on multiple deals.
Also, the North London club also closing in on the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, with some outlets even considering it a done deal.
Signing a new centre-forward could be a major priority for the north London club, with their production in the final third letting them down during the 2024/2025 season, especially in the Premier League title race.
If Arsenal want to beat Liverpool to the title next season after falling short most recently, new additions will be necessary, and they are now close to completing their first addition of the summer transfer window.
Reporting X (via GIVEMESPORT), Romano has confirmed that Arsenal have now sealed all documents for the signing of Arrizabalaga, with a deal now done after the Gunners activated his £5m clause.
“Kepa to Arsenal, here we go! Deal done for the Spanish goalkeeper to join #AFC as new backup for David Raya,” the Italian journalist wrote.
“Arsenal activate £5m clause from Chelsea and all documents are now sealed. One more addition for Arteta after Martin Zubimendi.”
Arrizabalaga, who earns £150,000-a-week at Chelsea, is set to come in and play as a backup to current goalkeeper David Raya.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Premier League side Bournemouth, where he showed signs of getting his career back on track after a tricky period.
He struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge after his big-money move, and a temporary spell with the Cherries is exactly what he needed.
