Things went from bad to worse for Arsenal as West Ham went 3-0 up on 32 minutes as Antonio’s header appeared to be going wide, but took the faintest of flicks off Tomas Soucek to nestle inside the far post.

The Gunners finally sprang into life and clawed their way back and scored on 38 minutes as Alexandre Lacazette controlled Calum Chambers cross, turned and hit his effort which seemed destined to be going wide, but glanced off Soucek diverting the ball beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

Arsenal came back fired up in the second half and were rewarded on 61 minutes when Craig Pawson slammed Chambers’ cross to make it 3-2.
