Balogun Happy With Wigan Performance In Away Draw At Cardiff

Wigan Athletic defender Leon Balogun hailed the performance of the side in Saturday’s 2-2 away draw against Cardiff City, reports Completesports.com.

Kieffer Moore scored twice for the Latics in the keenly contested Sky Bet Championship encounter.

Paul Cook’s men are now unbeaten in their last three league games and remain on course to escape the drop.

Balogun, who made his first start for the club, since arriving on loan from Brighton& Hove Albion on transfer deadline day however wants the team to improve on their defending.

“Important point away from home, but we definitely have to do a better job defending the lead, especially away from home. Now on to the next one! To the travelling fans – thanks for the support, be safe,” Balogun tweeted after the game.

Wigan will host Millwall in their next league game.

Glad to see you getting minutes.  I hope it translated to improved form.  As an aside, what is going on with Samuel Kalu at Bordeaux? The guy is not even making the matchday roster anymore? Its a shame to see a talent like that just fizzle out

Kalu is an amazing talent but look to be a lazy player. He doesn’t do much when he’s not with the ball. The guy can be the best that he want to be if he work hard and also watch videos of other accomplish wingers to learn one or two things. The young man should take a cue from kelechi.

Oh well, maybe I spoke too fast. Just found out that Etebo finally made his full debut for Getafe in their game against Barca today.
Kudos, even though it ended in a loss. Greater days ahead..

Kalu returned to Bordeaux late, almost 2 days after the October international break. To add salt to injury, he switched off his phones and was unreachable. He got off with a light warning.

After the Christmas break, again he returned to his club 1 week late. Seems his coach has had enough of him. He is beginning to think he is Cristiano Messi.

We might need to start organising emotional intelligence and professionalism courses at the end of every season for all our players below 23 years old bcos they seem to start getting swollen headed at the slightest praise.

Talent is never enough. No player is indispensable to his team.

Keep it up Balogun…Eager to see you back at your very best…
I also join @Lord Amo to ask what’s going on with Samuel Kalu…is it footballing reasons or something else that’s keeping him out of matches in Bordeaux?
Another worrying case is Etebo…what’s really going on after that joyous loan move to Getafe?

Samuel Kalu is a good player that lacks Good Character in his Club. Zero attitude to work. This were reasons also stated by his Coach @Bordeaux. Then he comes to the National team and act sensibly…Well, maybe cuz he has seen for himself that there are so many Stars in the Wing role waiting to be called up to the Super Eagles talk more of those waiting to play. He has forgotten that he needs to be at his best both in Character and Field of play before he will get called up to the “Nowawdays Super Eagles”.

Another factor is his Match fitness. He has been hit with Injuries back to back too this season. Hopefully he comes back and right his wrong.

A very great player Kalu is. Hope to see him back soonest
