Barcelona have made Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette their back-up target in case they can’t get Antoine Griezmann, claim Spanish reports. Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo state the Catalan club believe they could get Lacazette for 65-70m euros.

The Nou Camp outfit have reportedly been in talks to sign Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, who it is said remains their top choice. The report claims that Lacazette is ‘very close’ to Barca’s technical secretary Eric Abidal and that they share the same agent.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Gunners in a £46.5 million deal from Lyon in the summer of 2017, has scored 18 goals in all competitions for Unai Emery’s men. It is stated that Barca could lower any potential fee for Lacazette by offering Samuel Umtiti or Andre Gomes, two players apparently wanted at the Emirates Stadium, as part of the deal.
