Boboye Appointed New Akwa United Head Coach

Kennedy Boboye has been appointed the new head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League club, Akwa United, Completesports.com reports

Boboye takes charge of the Uyo club following John Obuh’s resignation on Monday morning.

Obuh cited indiscipline and insubodination by some of the players as the main reason for his decision to leave the club.

Boboye previously had spells at Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors, Plateau United and Remo Stars.

Akwa United have recorded just one win from their opening eight league games this season.

The Promise Keepers are currently in 16th position in the NPFL table.
