The Confederation of African, Football, CAF, has condemned the unacceptable behavior of some players and officials during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and hosts Morocco, reports Completesports.com.
Drama erupted after Morocco were awarded a penalty seconds to full time. Defender Malick Diouf pulled down Brahim Diaz inside the box.
A VAR check confirmed the spot-kick but the game had to be halted due to Senegal fans attempting to storm the pitch, while objects were being thrown.

Riot police jumped into the Senegal fans, and people were being dragged off the pitch.
Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw also appeared to tell his players to leave the pitch before Sadio Mane called them back out for the penalty to be taken.
“CAF strongly condemns any inappropriate behaviour which occurs during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or match organizers,”reads a statement on their official website.
“CAF is reviewing all footage and will refer the matter to competent bodies for appropriate action to be taken against those found guilty.”

I love the clip where el hadji diouf called sadio mane and pass some instruction to him and mane being a listening player went to him…it shows the unity, love and in the senegal football franternity…..
But imagine one of our ex player in the stands call on osimhen for some advice, dude would have yell at him or invited ogun to strike the person right there…
@ Monkey post: Osimhen is not that kind of player. If you know, you know.
@MONKEY POST i have to agree with you there Osimhen could really do with a little more humility and should look at Players like Sadio Mane as a role model on humility .. I really hope he changes some of his character defects sooner than later it will do him a world of Good..
His attitude and bust up with Lookman i am convinced Dampened Lookman’s form in that AFCON and in Hindsight that bust up had a negative impact on Lookmans performances post Bust up
@ugo I agree with you too… it really demoralized lookman….
@Ugo Iwunze
I wouldn’t say the incident with Lookman, really dampened Ademola’s form.
As it later transpired, Osimhen was initially shouting at Bruno, ‘its a team game’
When Lookman came to take the corner, Lookman and Ndidi tried to calm Victor, ‘you have 2 goals already bro’ that Lookman allegedly said was maybe misunderstood & led to the redirected ‘its a team game’ shouting by Osimhen at Lookman, that was caught on replay, which was the narrative that the media went with.
But it was clear that Osimhen’s initial ire was directed at Bruno.
Against Algeria and Morocco
Lookman and Iwobi (aside his great pass to Osimhen for Akor goal vs Algeria), didn’t quite post as many offensive moments as the previous games as passing lanes where cut off.
But Lookman still pressed like mad to intercept/disposes.
It was also Lookman that had a very decent shot and SE’s only one on target vs Morocco
Also remember how Lookman confidently dispatched his penalty vs Egypt
So i think the numbers were down because a different structure was needed by Chelle in light of stronger opposition cutting off the passing Lanes and questionable officiating
Maybe more interchanging and moving Lookman to the left, could have helped.
But hopefully Chelle will learn to develop a plan B, C & D when his preferred team formation is nullified
Hahahaha…..birds of the same feather truly flock together.
The same Lookman, with his dampened form, later provided an assist for Akor in that same match.
The same Lookman had a good number of shots saved by Zidane and almost assisted Bassey in the first half alone against Algeria.
Vs Morocco, the entire team minus our defence was rendered toothless. Even our coach became a spectator after just 15 minutes….LMAOoo. The only shot at goal we got in that match was from who again………? LOOKMAN
Vs Egypt, Lookman was on the bench, came on and almost provided another assist if not for the egyptian goal keeper.
Indeed, Lookman’s form was dampened.
I am sure Osimhen too was responsible for the dampened form of Diaz and Salah in the later, tougher stages of the tournament…….LMAOoo. Osimhen’s angst affected them in their respective camps too……LMAOooo
Did someone just say common sense is indeed not common….?
