Former England international Joe Cole believes Chelsea players are still adapting to manager Liam Rosenior’s style of play despite defeating Napoli 3-2 in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League in Naples, to book a berth in the last 16 of the competition.
The former Hull City and Strasbourg manager has turned the Chelsea side around after the departure of former manager Enzo Maresca and the West London club look to be one of the favourites to go all the way in Europe this season.
In a chat with the club’s website, Cole stated that Rosenior deserves all the accolades for turning the team around.
He also said that the players are still slowly adapting to their new tactical style.

“It’s been fantastic, superb. A lot of people talk about what he’s been saying, but you need to look at the team. They’ve won five out of six games now and gone to Napoli and won. You can’t really knock that.
“Liam is still getting his style of play in, but the character was really impressive. A Chelsea team who went behind could have got rolled over a few months ago so he’s instilled something in them.
“The lads look happy. Joao Pedro can sometimes look a bit on the periphery, but he was right at it tonight. It was a great performance.”
