Well done and great play by Odion Ighalo. Keep up the good work with your new club – Al-Hilal. You are surely still very useful to the Nigerian Super Eagles. Regards

    • Pls o, he is not useful again( for Nigeria), the guy don retire leave am let osimhen take the no 1 spot, this is not a criticism all am saying is that he has done his best for us time to move on.

And you guys saying okoye basket or whatever is like you guys don’t even keep up with your players aboard okoye is playing for a low side in the eredivise, and the uzoho you guys are shouting upon sef conceded this same score line again his former club apoel even though his current club are the current champions meaning the are a good side

Ighalo must play for Nigeria.stop this meaningless and stupid hate.see how other teams are playing in afcon with their full strength squads. This useless tribalistic, whether you like a player or not and divisive talks must end.please, please, please

  • Mr Eguavoen or whoever will Coach the SE, should better do something fast about our goal keeping department!

See the two Goalkeepers today or call them shot stoppers! Mendy vs Gabasky! See saves! The goal keepers kept their respective teams in the match till the last whistle.

Okoye is not ripe for SE No 1 period. He should focus on developing himself at club side for now.

Eguavoan look for two talented goal keepers with a Lion’ heart; unbeatable shot stoppers, fabulous reflexes, aerial generals, one-on-one King, penalty savers,…. for the SE. This is important if we must go far.

The earlier the better. World cup and another AFCON beacon!!! Shalom.

We missed Osimhen at the just concluded Afcon.
It’s so unfortunate and unfair. Egypt had their Salah, Senegal had their Mane, Cameroun had their Aboubakar, but Nigeria was missing Osimhen.
His presence would have changed the dynamic of the team, no doubt. Even if he’s not scoring, his work rate would have given us more bite upfront.
Indeed, it is very much part of Osimhen’s personality to give his all on the pitch, but this often gets him injured. He has to be smarter going forward. Not every battle on the pitch is worth fighting. Choose your battles wisely. Learn from guys like Messi, CR7, Salah, Mane. This guys give everything on the pitch, but intelligently avoid situations that can lead to long-term injuries.
This applies not just to Osimhen, but to all our players.
We simply can’t afford additional injuries to Osimhen, or our other players.
Having said that, chances are we still would not have won the Afcon with Osimhen present.
NO TEAM WINS TOURNAMENTS WITHOUT A RELIABLE GOALIE.
The red-hot priority for Eguavoen and company at this time is to get Okoye and other goalies to raise their game, or commence the world-wide search for capable hands.
If we had a reliable goalie between the sticks at the Afcon, it could be Nigeria today celebrating with the trophy.
