Former France coach Raymond Domenech believes it’s very easy for other teams to play Marseille due to manager Roberto de Zerbi’s predictable style of play.
He made this known on the backdrop of Marseille’s victory over Monaco in Ligue 1 at the weekend.
Speaking with L’Équipe, Domenech stated that Zerbi’s game lacks organization and identity.
“It’s unclear what they’re trying to do. They try to build from the back, to draw the opponent in, but they end up losing dangerous balls in their own half.

“If you’re caught five or six times in the same way, you have to change things.
“Monaco handled the ball calmly, moved the play around, and found space with ease.
“It’s a lack of organisation and identity. No one today can explain how Marseille plays, either offensively or defensively. Their game is predictable.”
