Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba thrashed Bayelsa United 4-1 in a friendly match at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Saturday.
The match is in preparation for the 2023/24 season.
Chijoke Mbaoma gave the People’s Elephants the lead in the 25th minute of the encounter.
Eze Pinto doubled the advantage before the end of the first half to give his side a comfortable lead going into the break.
A mixup in the Bayelsa United defence enabled Joseph Atule to give the Aba giants a 3-0 lead.
Atule scored again 20 minutes later to make the scoreline more emphatic for Enyimba.
Bayelsa United pulled a goal back late on through Isaac George.
