EPL: Iwobi Starts, Balogun Benched In  Everton Defeat To Brighton

Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi was on from the start in Everton’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, Completesports.com

The game was Iwobi’s seventh of the campaign for the Toffees albeit he has registered one goal.

He was replaced in the 72nd minute by Dominic- Calvert Lewin.

Iwobi’s international teammate, Leon Balogun was benched for 90 minutes by Brighton.

Balogun who has made the bench twice for the Seagulls this season is yet to make a league appearance for the club.

Brighton 3 – 2 Everton

At the Vicarage Road, Isaac Success was absent as Watford and Bournemouth battled to a 0-0 draw.

Success who only returned to training this week due to a groin injury was not considered fit enough for the game.

He has featured in two league games for the Hornets this season.

In the othee afternoon’s game, West Ham United were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sheffield United.
