Roundup: Osimhen Stopped As Lille Pip Kalu, Maja’s Bordeaux; Awaziem Stars In Leganes’ Win

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen failed to score in the second consecutive game as Lille edged out Girondis Bordeaux 3-0 in their French Ligue 1 clash on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen was replaced by Loic Remy in the 58th minute of the encounter.

He has scored seven goals and bagged two assists in 11 league games for Les Dogues this season.

Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja played as second half substitutes for Bordeaux in the game.

Kalu replaced Aiit Bennasser in the 64th minute, while Maja took the place of Francois Komano 18 minutes from time.

In Spain, Chidozie Awaziem played as a second half substitute as Leganes registered their first win of the season following a 1-0 home victory against Real Mallorca.

Awaziem took the place of Dimitrios Siovas in the 59th minute.

Kenneth Omeruo however failed to make the matchday squad for Leganes.

    Osimen injured in the match and was replaced. I hope it is not serious cause Nations cup qualifier around the corner.

    Who else watched the match Osimhen was deprived of the final pass by his team mates. They see him as a rival I just pray he will speak out so that they don’t damage his career!

      @Chima, you are spot-on, they hardly release the ball to him. I was beginning to wonder… he has to struggle for every ball and hustle really hard. I sense they are starving him of passes because of his growing fame…

    @Chima, you’re absolutely spot on. SIMMY NWANKWO keeps scoring for Crotone in Italy yet CSN doesn’t report about him. That guy scored 2 goals today oo. I wonder wetin the guy take do CSN. Like CSN is a fan of Paul Onuachu that why they don’t want to report about him. That guy should be in the Super Eagles as the tall lanky striker not That Tall for nothing player called Onuachu.
