Barau FC maintained their unbeaten start to the new season after playing out a goalless draw against hosts Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday.
Both sides created opportunities to secure all three points but failed to find the back of the net.
The result saw Barau FC retain second position on the table with eight points from four matches, while Ikorodu City, who have a game in hand, remain fifth with five points from three games.
At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United secured their first win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes.
Abdulrahman Garba scored the decisive goal in the 21st minute to hand Katsina United all three points.

The victory lifted Katsina United to 11th position, while Niger Tornadoes remained ninth on the table.
In Kano, Ranchers Bees came from behind to defeat a resilient Bendel Insurance side 2-1.
Chiedozie Jude Okorie put the hosts ahead four minutes after the restart, but Lekan Gabriel restored parity for Insurance in the 66th minute.
Ranchers Bees eventually secured victory through Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu, who scored the winning goal 11 minutes from time.
The strike was Zulkifilu’s fifth goal of the season in the Nigeria Premier Football League,NPFL.
