Former Nigerian international, Tijani Babangida has revealed that the Super Eagles will do their very best to ensure that the team win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that Nigeria have been pitted alongside host, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A.
In a chat with Completesports.com, Babangida stated that the Super Eagles will be eager to redeem their image after last AFCON disappointment where the team crashed out in the round of 16 to Tunisia.
“I know very well that the 2023 AFCON will afford Super Eagles another chance to make amends of their last tournament disappointment after losing to Tunisia in the Round of 16.

“Regardless of the group, I believe the team will qualify from the group and the players will be determine to win the trophy.
“I expect a very interestingly tournament and I know the players will make us proud.”
The Super Eagles were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the competition at the last edition in Cameroon after a 1-0 loss to Tunisia.
Nigeria last won the tournament in 2013 and will look to win its fourth after recording success at the 1980 and 1994 editions.

If Super Eagles would like to win this next AFCON. Cup in Cote De’ Ivore , NFF administration and SE coaching crew must do these things as follows: fristly: NFF must prepare more or less than friendly matches versus countries which the same of SE group just like to play against Guinea or Burkinafaso or Senegal or Togo; NFF must pay coaches and players bonuses on time; coaching crew must do definite techincal problems which inhere SE in any tournament this problems are lacking of defensive mentality which has damaged SE since along time , then they have lost many tournaments; also have knocked them out of tow World Cup qualifier in towice World final in South Korea and Japan 2006 then Qatar 2022; secondly: SE also have been lacking of strong back line who has been committing many mistakes and errors which have cost SE many matches just like unright covrage, set-pieces errors by center backs; also SE have been lacking for strong and agile goalkeeper since Enyeama has ritred from international football; so coaching crew must manipulate these bad things before 2024 final tournament in january in Cote De’ Ivore.I recomnend SE technical crew to summon new strong and agile players in midfield , defence , goalkeepers functions,I recommend Peseiro and his technical crew to choose Ike Shorunmo or Enyeam as goalkeeper trainer, Daniel Amokache as frist assitant coach , then dump Finidi George from assistance of SE ; summon goalkeeper like Jonthan Rasheed , Arthur Okonkwo , dump Uzoho and Okoye; summon Anderson Esiti and Ifeanyi Matthew as defensive midfielders to solve this problem;give defensive midfielders and center back strict and strong instructions to be standing just as hard guards at the castle gates; also give defensive midfielders like center backs in order to block and tackle the rival counter attacks or shoting from distance.
