Fantasista Tips — Gameweek 5 of Champions Fantasy

The last two gameweeks of the group stage are full of surpises when it comes to lineups. Here are some hidden gems for your team.

The roller-coaster begins this week.

Rotations will surely be kicking, as there are some teams already qualified and managers, the real ones, are surely preparing a proper nightmare for us, fantasy managers!

So let’s look at some low-owned players from teams that still have to go full power in the two last gameweeks of UEFA Champions League.

Mergim Berisha | RB Salzburg | F | 5.5M | In 1% of teams

He’s a part of the starting lineup since GW2, with 3 goals and 1 assist in the last 3 games, one versus Atlético and two against the mighty Bayern. He’s the pick of the bunch, if you are targeting the Austrians prolific attack in Tuesday’s early kick-off games.
A win will put them ahead of Lokomotiv in the hunt for the UEFA League spot, and they might be sneaking into the qualifying race if Atlético fails to beat Bayern.

Josip Iličić | Atalanta | M | 8.5M | In 1% of teams

One of the greatest assets form last year edition is back to his usual business. After the wonder goal and win at Anfield, the Italians welcome the Danishes in what should be a goal fest. The Slovenian is probably the most explosive and differential pick available in the formidable attack developed by Gasperinni’s managerial team. High-risk, high-reward!

Péter Gulácsi | RB Leipzig | G | 5.0M | In 6% of teams

With some of the key defensive stats that helped defenders excel versus goalkeepers from the same team gone for this season, this year there is more value tied up to the men who wear gloves. With that in mind, Gulácsi is the second highest scorer for Leipzig so far, with 8 saves, 1 cleanie and 1 penalty saved. The Germans have a must-win game, and keeping a clean sheet will mean half of the work will already be done.

Sergiño Dest | Barcelona | D | 5.5M | In 3% of teams

This little full-back impressed me a lot in Barcelona’s recent trip to Kiev, adding a goal and a cleanie in the process. With Koeman’s willingness to rest some of his stars again, there is a nice upside in choosing this big differential for Wednesday’s night match at Ferencváros. He only played 61 minutes last Sunday, so you can be sure he will start in Hungary!
