Nigeria’s U-19 women’s team are through to the round of 16 of the FIBA U-19 basketball World Cup despite losing their final Group B game to Portugal on Tuesday.
Hoping to bounce back from the heavy defeat to Canada, Nigeria suffered a 79 – 61 loss to the Portuguese.
After recording one win and two defeats, Nigeria finished third in Group B.

Canada topped the group after winning all their three group fixtures while Portugal placed third and China fourth.
Hungary placed second behind the United States of America in Group A, clinching two wins and one defeat.
