Why do we always Federal quota system to ruin our football,Salisu Yusuf was in the last coaching crew that failed others were sacked and he was reappointed is he a sacred cow that should be overlooked.
    Nigeria the way to go

  • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

LOL… By the time Amaju finishes with our football,. Ice hockey will be our national sports.

    • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

Hehehehe…..by the time you too realize that impersonating me is not going to yield any fruits and make you better than the filthy fraud, pathetic liar and criminal that you are, you would have grown grey hairs in realization you only came to this world to be a colossal failure….LMAOOooo.

      Keep it up ehn….LMAOoo.

      Shameless crook.

    • @ Dr. Drey Welcome back. I always love your comments. I only hope the football administration appoint the technical adviser on time. Welcome back on board.

  • Isotip 2 years ago

Why not leave Eguavoen and his crew who are more qualified? I just hope we haven’t shot our legs.

  • Why not make finidi George the main super eagle coach instead of assistant coach cos NFF aren’t serious about getting us a high profile foreign manager…

  • Francis Eluba 2 years ago

Congrats coach Finidi, I hope your reign brings good tidings. What are your plans for the forthcoming friendlies?

    • TALK UR OWN 2 years ago

      GOOD DEVELOPMENT
      BUT LET:
** AMUNEKE be Super eagle coach
      ** H.RENARD/L.BLANC/COCU be technical adviser
      ** ENYEAMA/CARL IKEME be additional Goalkeeper trainer-2

      • Chailes Oboli 2 years ago

Eguavoen was winning matches but the moment Amuneke joined as a tactical expert, he started playing draw. That aside, Amuneke is not a good sell as per the senior national team. I don’t want to go into his past coaching records like the Tanzania, Egypt escapades. Just may be u23 but my advise is certainly u17. We shall however keep to whatever nff has. FOR NOW, let’s celebrate with Finding and Ike.

        • Danny 2 years ago

Egbo who won a European trophy should head the u23 Olympic Eagles while Amuneke serve as his assistant. Amuneke still needs to better his performances.

        • To be factual, Coaching isn’t really the problem of super eagles. Even though it’s proper to have a sound coach though. A coach who’d qualified the eagles for all competitions in 5yrs was sacked few days to the nations cup proper and another was appointed and like the previous occasions, we expected excellent results. Why do NFF do same ugly mistakes but expects positive results? That’s to show how incompetent they are and can’t be able to turn around our football for good. Grassroot football is dead but they are busy inviting some good players but who really don’t understand African/ Nigerian football. Let’s start with sound football administrators then a hungry and tactically sound coach that knows how and when to use players, we have too much players to do excellently well in any competitions.

Being the head coach of a domestic professional outfit means his experience will needed in developing the local league. At least the NFF has gotten this rightly. Well work Amaju Pinnick, good luck Finidi.

  • Larry 2 years ago

Congrats to Finidi, your decision to take-up the coaching job at Enyimba proves your commitment toward upgrading your coaching career.
Considering your qualification, past glories as a player and commitment to the game, you have my support to be part of the team.
Congrats Shorunmu, I hope you’ll correct all the atrocities of that lazy tribal maggot (Alloy) and get us the best set of GKs.

    • Obinna 2 years ago

I just hope he will because that alloy agu is the most stupid goalkeeper Coach I av seen even in his playing days he was a serious mediocre .and that is what Nigeria celebrate mediocrity

  • One good thing about Finito appointment is the hunger it will bring. Can’t wait for the match against Mexico. Up Eagles, God bless Nigeria.

  • Bolos Ltang 2 years ago

Their appointments is due to popular demand. Finidi, Ike you guys are welcome as we are certain you will change the fortune of the SE. Good luck.

  • Oseodion Inegbenebor 2 years ago

I must say I didn’t see it coming but since it’s coming from the Football Federation, congrats. I will join the comment section a bit later. Cheers!

  • Taiju 2 years ago

Finidi, Ike and others should begin to go for refresher courses to be constantly updated. What I see, there is a whole lot of work to be done if Super Eagles must go forward to no1 in Africa. Those who are angry should chill, troup out and make their comments count whether for or against the decision after all, Nigeria is the winner so no hard feeling.

  • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

This is a better set up but I will only comment after we see the head coach. Will he be an average coach or a trophy winning coach with decent level of technique? Let us see if Pinnick will get a lifeline or thrown out. #LadanBossoOut#SalisuOut

    • Ebhohimen 2 years ago

NFF has shown it can be called upon when needed most. Congrats Nigerians!!!

      • This is good, we hope that this step will birth a glorious Era for our football!!

  • Radaq 2 years ago

They need our support and encouragement. God bless Amaju.

  • i was waiting to see Joseph Yobo on the list, What happened? LMAO! has he fallen out of favour with the powers that be, or Odegbami is no longer advocating for him? for Salisu to be back, he too should be back.

  • Four four two 2 years ago

Finidi was the best winger in the world during his playing days. He was also played has a Midfielder sometimes and he did so well. I hope his appointment will help shape up our unproductive wingers.

  • Good job and kudos to NFF officials for the appointment. However, I will doubt our performance in U20 WAFU Qualifiers taking place at Niger Republic on May 7 2022. This leaves us with 22 days to prepare from today. I therefore strongly doubt our performance at the football events. All because the coaches are appointed very late i.e 22 days to a major tournament. This again might happen again in the case of Super Eagles technical adviser appointment. Note: Pinnick promised on Arise Sports television interview that the technical adviser will be appointed within 10days of the interview which will be Tuesday 19th May, 2022. I keep my fingers crossed. I will not be surprised if the appointment takes place few days to 28th May, 2022 which is the date of the friendly match between Nigeria and Mexico or may further be delayed till few days to the beginning of 2023 AFCON Qualifiers. This has been the Hallmark of their decision making process since 8 years ago and it is one of the reasons why we failed in all competitions of this Pinnick administration. Let us watch. God bless Nigeria.

  • How can you appoint assistant coaches without the consent of the head coach. Only in Nigeria! Let me mind my business and Enjoy my World Cup qualification…lol. But good luck to the new team

In line with President Buhari policy on local content, thumbs up nff.

IT IS A VERY GOOD THING TO EMPLOY A COACH THAT CAN COMMAND RESPECT FROM PLAYERS. NOT A MEDIOCRE THAT WILL SPELL BOOM FORPLAYERS AND NATION.

  • Prince charming 2 years ago

Thank you NFF, for way forward

  • Footballfanatic 2 years ago

Just went back to watch Finidi’s highlights at ajax…..Man it’s rare to see such talent…..Tall, fast, skillful winger with pin point crossing accuracy.

    • Marvelous 2 years ago

You are watching nonsense guy, sorry to say that. How many great coaches in the world have such clips? Being a good winger doesn’t guarantee becoming a good coach. This way of reasoning most times makes me laugh.

Secondly I want to ask o. Is it right to appoint an assistant coach for a coach, without the consent or input of the Technical Adviser/coach? I believe is a backward approach.

Am very interested in who will lead our U23, U20, U17. Because our football needs resurrection from that point.

      • footballfanatic 2 years ago

I’m simply reminiscing when he was a player and what made him 9ne of the best wingers in the world. An imbecile like you LIKES to puts words into people’s mouths. When did I write that Finidi will be a good coach? So cuz I went back to watch his video means I’m saying he will be a good coach? You are a fool! And a stupid individual for jumping into conclusion.

  • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

Finidi came back home and took a job with NPFL powerhouse Enyimba. Though results haven’t really been fantastic but he’s already gotten his hands dirty by not waiting for the NFF to just call him and hand the SuperEagles job to him. At least he has been coaching in the NPFL. Not like other ex internationals sitting in their living room waiting for the SuperEagles job to be given to them after colossal failures. Congratulations Finito. Now let’s have a decent expatriate work with him.

    • Marvelous 2 years ago

I would have preferred Finidi to be second assistant instead of third.

      • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

I think he’s the second assistant. Salisu is the first assistant then followed by Finidi. The pecking order will be A foreign coach coming with his own assistants. Then Salisu and Finidi while Ikẹ Anọbi takes care of goalkeepers.

        • Marvelous 2 years ago

Sorry I made a mistake. Finidi should be first assistant. While salisu should focus on UN23 team.

  • Omo9ja 2 years ago

This is why Africa is not among the developed continents.

How could NFF put Finidi George in the 3rd position while Salisu Yusuf rehired? Really? Who does that.

Are we going to allow the current NFF to continue? Nigerians should wake up from slumber kę. I am reading some comments here now and most of us are thanking NFF. I’m speechless.

You people are thanking NFF for what? Bring Salisu Yusuf back? Finidi will be the second assistant coach? For real? Kai, Carbals have over stayed in the office. What kind of country is this.

If at all an Hausa coach have to be among the coaches of the Super Eagles, must it have to be Salisu Yusuf? This quota system thin may lead the country to some where else.

Finidi should haven learned from coach Amunike. Coach Amunike was there against Ghana but it was clearly shown that he wasn’t allowed to do his job and I am pretty sure that Finidi is there to make up the numbers, they won’t let him be.

Amaju will definitely finish the Super Eagles before we chase him away.

I would have preferred Peter Rufai and Enyeama to Ike Shorunmu because Ike used to be with the Super Eagles before. Same system, recycling players and coaches as if we don’t have people that are more qualified to do the job.

NFF, you have failed again. I will never thank you for this shabby job.

NFF should make Ego the head coach of the Super Eagles.

    Finidi should be his assistant.

    NFF should get Enyeama involved.

    Head coach Egbo
    Assistant coach Finidi George,
Ike Shorunmu and Enyeama should be the new goalkeeper trainers of the Super Eagles.

Salisu Yusuf is a taboo and he should be removed. Age is not on his side and the atrocities he has committed may stain “Nigeria image”.

The current NFF have to be sacked as well. We want young and honest people in charge our sports.

The young ones can seek advice from olders because we all Nigerians. We need people Etobo and Cisse to take control of our sports.

We don’t want Paseiro. Amaju may bring that Paseiro coach to Nigeria soon and he will end up like Oga Rohr.

I have said my own. NFF should Bring in Egbo, Finidi George, Ike Shorunmu and Enyeama to work together. These are the best to represent us.

No thanks to NFF. They have to do things the way it should be. This is not acceptable. Amaju and his company most go period. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

Ggbẹnu Oṣi sọun. Ikẹ Anọbi was part of the coaching crew that won the AFCON in 2013 he was Enyeama and Ejide trainer. Two of the best goalies we had in that era. At least better than Agu at this point. Which mouth are you using to say NFF should not bring Peseiro?? If they bring him why can’t you go to the glass house instead of siting behind your keyboard and making suggestions Irọ?? I will take any foreign coach like Rohr at this point but younger. Rohr’s era took us to a WorldCup and bronze in AFCON which your useless own wrecked within 3 months by round of 16 exit at the AFCON and a WorldCup playoffs failure. Lmao!! Keep living in delusional.

  • I have never seen irresponsible group of people like NFF under Amaju.
You can’t even criticize them freely..who does same things all the time but expects different results? Only Salisu who was even suspended by CAF for bribery and corruption survived and all the others sacked. What are we even saying?

  • Segun 2 years ago

All of you are missing it!!!!!!!
Why was Finindi not appointed the number one assistant, or the head coach? why does he need to work behind a convicted corrupt bribe taker?
    QUOTA system of northernization?
why not appoint Finindi Maikaba/ Manu Garba and Amunike?
