Flying Eagles forward Kparobo Ariehi has joined Norwegian club Mjøndalen on loan until 2025.
Ariehi linked up with the second division club from Norwegian giants Lillestrøm.
The 18-year-old only moved to Lillestrøm from Beyond Limits Limits Academy in January.
“We have decided that it is right to loan KP to Mjøndalen. This is something we have considered for a while. The fact that it is happening now coincides with Mjøndalen having sold its best striker to the Eliteserien, and that we consider the need for more playing time in the OBOS league to be important,” declared sporting director, Simon Mesfin.

“More playing time at the highest possible level is important for KP’s further development, while it is also important in view of the annual extension of his work permit. It is also worth noting that this is important for his potential participation in the U20 World Cup to be held in September/October this year, says Mesfin.
Mesfin believed that the stay in Mjøndalen will be an important piece in Arierhi’s development.
“We believe this loan will be good for “KP”. Both short-term – considering that he will get a lot of match training before he is potentially selected for the U20 World Cup – but also important for his long-term development, so that he will have the opportunity to take further steps towards 2026,” he added.
Ariehi was part of the Flying Eagles squad to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He started four of six matches and scored one goal in the tournament.
