Forget About Man United, Chelsea, PSG, Remain With Napoli –Martins Advises Osimhen

Former Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins, has advised Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to ignore Man United, Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

Martins made this known in an interview with Brila FM, where he told the Nigerian international to remain with Napoli.

Recall that Osimhen is attracting attention from some of the biggest clubs in Europe after helping his Serie A side win the title for the first time in 33 years

The former Inter Milan star, who is popularly known as ‘Obagoal’ has urged his compatriot to sign for a club where he will not struggle.

“It depends on the club he’s going to. But I don’t want him to go to a club where he will struggle. He needs to keep the momentum going.

“To err on the side of caution, I would suggest that he stays back in Napoli at least for one more season,” Martins said on Brila FM

eaning what? Osihmen is no longer developing . He is a super star. Even Koulibaly has told repoeters that no team can make Osihmen better . instead Osihmen will make any team he plays better pls with all due respect stop all these negative advice. Let the boy follow the flow and to the highest bidder according to the price set by the President.

  • Martins stylishly saying that what osimhen did this season was a fluke and one season wonder…… .This so called ex international players are one of the problems we have in the development of our national team…….They want upcoming players to always remain in their shadows…….they don’t believe the new generation are better than them…… You always see them advising and warning anytime a player is trying to breakout and make a name for himself and Nigeria……How can a player like Martins who graced the serieA and the premier league say something like this about a player who single handedly brought the serieA to it’s knees?……If it was a Brazilian or Argentine that achieved what osimhen has achieved, will Martins still have the same opinion about the player?…… Osimhen did what no other African player has ever done in the SeriaA and believe me many talented African players have graced the serieA…… If Halaand who is younger and of the same talent level with Osimhen can move from dotmund to Man City and non of his country’s footballers kicked against it then why is Osimhen’s case different?……Rusmus Hujland of Atalanta who did not even do half of what osimhen did in Italy and who is not half as talented as osimhen is moving to Man utd and you see ex players of Denmark already hyping him and telling who cares to know that he will unleash fire in the EPL if the move happens……..why are we like this?……. even the whites rate osimhen better than We Nigerians who know him better?Na wa o…… Please let the young grow abeg you our ex internationals…..please ehn!

Martin is entitle to his opinion. Because someone failed does not mean everyone will fail the same.He has done well with napoli and also need to go to bigger club for more success.Anyway he has to seek God’s will in this situation. For me if the opportunity comes, let him just move.

I will like to see Osimhen playing for a big club, but we need to answer the question: Is Osimhen already in a big club at Napoli? I’m not sure. What I’m sure of is that Napoli is not a small club. If he goes to Bayern or Madrid or Manchester United and wins the league and the Champions league, it will be special. Sometimes, I try to imagine how very greatly special it will be if Osimhen is able to propel Napoli to another scudetto success as well as champions league glory. He will be greater than Maradona in Napoli history and become one of the greatest players in Serie A history. Success with a smaller club like Napoli will be sweeter than success with big clubs that are used to winning trophies. I wish Spalleti is still at Napoli, but I hope Garcia will trust and play to Osimhen’s and Napoli’s strengths. If they strengthen the team with quality additions this summer, they can defend their title and mount a big challenge for the champions league.

How many clubs did Martins played for during his active career? I don’t think his advices are necessary at this point. He should shut up! If Osimehen wants to go to Saudi Arabia to earn more money, I will support him. These days, football is more of a business and not only a sport. Osimehen is an adult who needs nobody’s advice.

    • @Adetunji GOD FORBID Saudi Arabia at when he has not even Reached the pinnicle of his talents. I WILL SUPPORT NO SUCH and your type is the type of Nigerians Osimhen’s Agents should make him stay clear off. What crap.

Listen Bro We need this boy called Osimhen to put Nigeria’s football where some greats like Cr7 Messi, Mbappe , Haaland put thier countries. are you not happy seeing how he is gripping Europe by the balls and you are here talking about Saudi Arabia, you will be the only one supporting that crap bro!. some of you people are really funny when they say “NAIJA NOR SABI GOOD THING”, this is EXACTLY what they mean.
