Tennis star Arthur Fils has expressed his desire to attain the feat of becoming world no 1.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has been one of the standout players of the last few months and appears as one of the few names capable of challenging the dominance of Jannik Sinner.
The Frenchman has 20 wins in his last 24 matches, and three of those defeats came at the hands of top-4 rivals.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of his debut at the Italian Open, Fils stated that he’s working hard to become the world No. 1.
“I still believe in it, yes. I know it will require a lot of work, many difficulties, and it will be a long road, but I really hope to become the World No. 1 someday,” said Fils in a press conference ahead of his debut at the Italian Open.
“Since I was little, I have been doing all of this to become the World No. 1,” he insisted. “It’s not easy, and it certainly won’t be. But if I work hard… why not believe? It is beautiful to believe.”
