Nigeria’s Falconets head coach Moses Aduku has said the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup second leg clash with Malawi will be easier for his team compared to the first leg.
The Falconets will take a 2-0 lead to Malawi for the second leg clash billed for Saturday, May 9.
Winner between Falconets and Malawi over the two legs will qualify for this year’s World Cup in Poland in September which will run from 5th to 27th.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s crucial tie, Aduku pointed out that the Malawians will be forced to come out and play which will be benefit his team.

“We will not go defensive rather we will take the game to them to see if we can get goal and I know my girls can do that. We know the opponent will not sit back, they will come out to play.
“Definitely I think it will be easier in Malawi because if they sit back and we are able to create chances like this (in the first leg), we lost a lot of scoring chances now they will come out to play and definitely we will have chances to score and I think our defence is it bad and our goalkeeper is not that bad so we are on course.”
While the Falconets have never failed to qualify for the U-20 World Cup, Malawi will hope to make their debut at the bi-ennial tournament.
