Arsenal are closing in on a double swoop with Nicolas Pepe and Kieran Tierney both heading to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have been closing in on a swoop for Lille forward Pepe over the last few days but it looks as though the deal is finally done after the player underwent a medical.

Pepe has been pictured in Arsenal colours at the club’s training ground late on Tuesday evening and it is thought the deal will be announced at some point today. Tierney is also expected to follow this week after reports claimed that Arsenal have made a significant breakthrough in their pursuit of the Celtic defender.
The Scottish champions had rejected all offers from Arsenal, who were attempting to stagger the payments of the £25million transfer. However it has now been claimed that Arsenal have offered to pay a much larger fee up front, and that is enough to convince the Hoops to cash in on the 22-year-old. Tierney has been one of Unai Emery’s top targets of the summer and it looks as though a deal is finally in sight.
