Rea Madrid legend Guti has expressed sceptism concerning Argentine Icon Lionel Messi’s Imminent return to Laliga giants Barcelona next season.
Messi has been heavily linked to the Catalan club with the seven time Ballon d’Or winner unable to ink a new deal with current club Paris Saint-Germain.
In an interview with El Chiringuito TV as quoted by Barca Universal.com, Guti insists Barcelona can’t win the Champions League with or without Messi.
“If I were Messi I won’t go back to Barcelona,” Guti said
“He already achieved everything there. It’s too big of a challenge at this moment. Now with or without him Barca won’t win the Champions League.”
Messi has netted 15 goals and notched 15 assists in 28 French Ligue 1 games this season.
He scored 672 goals in 774 games during his time at Barcelona.
Barcelona are currently first place in Laliga with a total of 82 points from 33 games.
Paris Saint-Germain currently top the French Ligue 1 standings with 75 points from 33 matches.
