Paris Saint-Germain Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has broken his silence in response to the rape accusations he has faced in recent days.
On Saturday, Hakimi sat down with Bertrand Latour for an in-depth interview broadcast on Canal+ (Foot Africa).
Hakimi was questioned on several topics, from the possibility of reclaiming the Champions League to his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or.
Also, the subject of the rape accusation against him was discussed, especially as the Nanterre prosecutor’s office has recently called for a trial.
“I am calm. Being falsely accused is horrible, unfair. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I know the truth will come out,” he said.
“I have nothing to blame myself for, and those who know me are aware of that. I remain composed and focus on the important things in my life, namely family and football. As I said, the truth will come out,” Hakimi stated.

The accusation was made after an alleged incident on February 25, 2023.
According to Le Parisien (via All Football) a 24-year-old woman told police she had met Hakimi on Instagram that January, before they exchanged messages over the course of a month.
Hakimi is then alleged to have ordered her an Uber to his home in Boulogne-Billancourt, while his wife, actress Hiba Abouk, was on holiday in Dubai.
Abouk began divorce proceedings against Hakimi in 2023.
The woman alleged Hakimi proceeded to kiss her mouth and breasts through her clothing, despite her protests. She claimed he then assaulted her without consent.
She is said to have told police that she was able to push him away with her foot before fleeing and texting a friend to pick her up. The woman visited a police station the same day to make a ‘statement of rape’, but initially did not file a formal complaint.
