‘He Was Always Ambitious’ — Bayer Leverkusen Chief Hails Tella

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rofles has praised Nathan Tella for his resilience.

Tella joined the newly crowned Bundesliga champions from Southampton last summer.

The winger has settled down at the BayArena after a difficult start.

Rofles eulogised the Nigeria international for his impact at the club.

“Nathan Tella came late in the transfer window in August and he needed time to adapt. He was always ambitious to develop himself and also to give good energy to the team and towards the team,”Rofles told TalkSport.

“Now he’s getting much more minutes than at the beginning of the season. That’s also a success story for himself and also for the team.”

The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for Die Werkself this season.

Playing for a top team and contributing 12 goals and 7 assists in a season is a good testament for Tella’s talent, skills and impact.
From the look of things, he is most in-form right wing forward for Super Eagles.
It’s Lookman on the left, Tella on the right, supporting Osi/Awo/Boni.

I believe the listed players can strengthen the team. Especially, Adarabioyo and Folorunsho. Hopefully, they are willing to join the Super Eagles.

@chimezie if a player playing in Bundesliga and Bundesliga champion is an average players so what will you say to players in Belgium, Turkey ,and EFL,. We should be grateful these players accept to play for Nigeria either they are good or average. What has Nigeria as a whole invested in players in Nigeria. Don’t come to this platform to rubbish other people’s children as Rubbish ,because you wouldn’t want yoir life to be rubbished.

  • Mr man what are you yourself.i am very sure that you are even below average in your family nonsense
