British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has disclosed that the proposed heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is legally locked in and that no-one can stop this fight from happening unless a formal breach of contract occurs.
Hearn noted that contracts are fully signed and the sides are simply waiting on organizers (Sela) to announce an official date for the anticipated November showdown.

Recall that Tyson Fury claimed on social media that the fight was falling apart, accusing Joshua and Hearn of demanding extra money from Saudi backers.
However, Joshua’s side holds a signed contract for the fight to take place in the UK, but organizers and Netflix are pushing for New York’s Madison Square Garden.
In a chat with DAZN, Hearn noted that moving the event to the US impacts financial and tax terms for Joshua, leading to ongoing negotiations over terms and venue adjustments.
“We’ve signed the contract, we’re waiting for a date. You saw Tyson Fury shouting and screaming … there’s nothing to shout and scream about, the fight’s done,” Hearn told DAZN.
“The fight’s signed. No-one can pull out of the fight. You can’t just pull out of a contract.

“There’s no suggestion that the fight’s not happening, no-one can stop this fight from happening. The only way it can stop from happening is if they actually breach the contract.
“We know everybody and his dog involved in the fight wants to do the fight in America. We don’t.
“We’ve told Sela and the team ‘if you want to do it in America, these are the terms that we can move forward with. But we’d rather not please’.”
