Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin has praised the extraordinary impact made by Max Dowman in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton in Saturday’s Premier League game at the Emirates.
Dowman came off the bench to help set up Arsenal’s opening goal before he expertly ran the length of the pitch in the dying embers of the game to seal the result and become the Premier League’s youngest goal scorer.

Nevin told the BBC that Dowman will leave a lasting legacy.
“The creativity of Max Dowman…he created the first goal – he changed the game when he came on. That last moment when he ran the length of the pitch is absolutely phenomenal. That will be remembered with many, many years to come,” Nevin said on BBC.
“You have to wait for them to keep on running and keep on running. It builds, and builds and builds until Max Dowman tapped it into the net. It is a beautiful moment of football.”
