Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has explained the reason behind his decision to remove Christantus Uche from the club’s UEFA Europa Conference League squad.
Uche, who is on loan at the Selhurst Park from Spanish club Getafe has scored twice in four appearances in the competition.
The Nigeria international was however removed from the squad earlier this year.
The 22-year-old admitted that he does not feel Glasner’s support.

Glasner however defended his decision ahead of the Eagles Conference League semi-final second leg tie against Shakhtar Donestsk.

“For me, I never blame the player for somethings. This stays internal. Uche wasn’t registered for the second part of the Conference League. I had a conversation with him, he wasn’t pleased with it,” Glasner declared.
“I had to take a decision due to the rules. We had new signings coming in. Honestly, If I had known that Eddie Nketiah wouldn’t get fit, Uche would have been registered.
“But at that moment, we thought Eddie was close to returning. We had Strand Larsen, Brennan Johnson, Mateta, and Eddie Nketiah. This was the reason, and from that day he felt that I don’t like him.
“There was nothing personal. I like him as a person, but again I had to take a decision.”

Again, a makeshift will never be seen as better than a natural.
Young footballers should take that to the bank.
Ika ni ę Mr Glasner
Waiting for a player that is injured to return and then sidelined a fit young and ready to go player, Not intentional my foot….
Shut the F Mr man, you aren’t making sense, you remove a player that’s fit for a players that is recovering from injury, plus what happen to epl matches also? When last did you start him or even introduced him into the game ?
Uche form in Palace is really shocking the guy looks out of shape and confidence. I can see why the coach dropped him.
Don’t mind the over pampered player pointing accusing fingers on the same coach that supported his move to the club.
I hope someone close to Uche will advise him to do better. Engaging in a banter with a coach that is doing well in EPL could affect his future move and career.
