Kelechi Iheanacho has penned a heartfelt farewell message to Celtic following his permanent move to Turkish club Bursaspor, Completesports.com reports.
Iheanacho spent the 2025/26 campaign with the Scottish champions, playing a key role as the Hoops secured a domestic double by winning both the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.
The 29-year-old found the net nine times in all competitions during his lone season at Parkhead, contributing several important goals in Celtic’s successful campaign.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Iheanacho completed a free transfer to Bursaspor.

Iheanacho Thanks Celtic
The Nigeria international forward took to social media to bid an emotional farewell to the Celtic faithful, expressing his gratitude to the club, his teammates, coaching staff and supporters for making his time in Glasgow a memorable one.
“To the Celtic FC, what we achieved last season was truly incredible, I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity to represent your great football club,” Iheanacho wrote on Instagram.
“My thanks to Brendan Rodgers for bringing me to the football club. Thank you to Martin O’Neil and his staff. Special thanks to my teammates, will miss you guys.
“To the amazing fans, thank you for your unwavering support. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming season and beyond.”
